Freightliner steams into 90 Whitfield Street
On behalf of Derwent London Ashwell London are delighted to announce the completion of the part third floor measuring circa 12,000 sq ft at 90 Whitfield Street to global rail freight giant Freightliner.
90 Whitfield Street sits on the corner of Maple Street and Whitfield Street overlooking Tottenham Court Road and creates a real impact on the streetscape with its distinctive glazed elevations. The building provides a large and impressive staffed reception measuring 3,500 sq ft, which creates a real sense of arrival which is enhanced by especially with the bespoke art work by Ian Davenport Poured Lines.
The floor was refurbished to a Grade A standard, providing new raised floors and inset LED lighting. As you might expect from a corner building the natural light is superb, with full height glazing on three sides. The floor to ceiling height is also extremely good.
90 Whitfield Street benefits from excellent local transport connections with access to 12 London Underground stations and Euston main line terminal within a 20 minute radius walking. The arrival of the Elizabeth Line in 2018 will see Tottenham Court Road station become the West End’s main transport hub.
Fitzrovia retains plenty of its historically Bohemian and creative flavour and 90 Whitfield Street is well located to take advantage of the excellent independent restaurants, pubs and cafes, private art galleries and shops.
In addition to the extensive range of shops and restaurants, there are also world famous corporate, creative, media and technology companies such as Estée Lauder and Arcadia who have chosen to locate within the characterful streets of Fitzrovia. The imminent arrival of Facebook’s new UK headquarters will add further dynamism to an already vibrant community.
